The Early Middle Ages to 1200

Welcome to the home of Medieval Studies dealing primarily with the early Middle Ages and Late Antiquity. This site is maintained by Professor Bernard Muir and features his printed and digital publications, together with links to descriptions of the subjects taught by him.

Professor Bernard Muir's teaching, research and publications focus on Classical and Medieval Studies to the year 1200, with particular attention to manuscript studies and the use of digital technology to analyse and present texts preserved in manuscript form.
